Dead Roses

Please, do not ever send me flowers. I could be on my death bed and I don't want them. They whither and die and it's quite frankly depressing. What message does that send? Send someone in the hospital flowers, sure the first day they are pretty, but then they dry out; it's like saying, hey today is good, but maybe you're going to die too. I have always preferred potted plants or just a plain text message saying, 'thinking of you.'
