A disillusioned patriot, wanting to love his home, his country, but having a hard time ignoring the empire's flaws. These conflicting feelings have led him nearly to madness, consumed by the internal struggle between pride and guilt.

Now, he spends his time alone, isolated by both his scientific work and is own mind. To others, he is merely the eccentric inventor, so busy with his work that he has no time to socialize. But to himself, he is the worst kind of villain--the one who cannot even make up his mind on how to be evil. Is he a traitor to the empire? Or an accomplice?
