The Lonely Shadows
In the darkness,
I see it creep,
Along the way,
Hiding from light.
It seems so plain.
I watch it move.
It's stealth is over easy,
Crisp, yet light.
The door is shut,
But beyond the wall,
Where it may lay,
It sees us all.
The answers we seek,
Are in no way,
Changers of life,
But vindictive words to us.
We run and hide,
Seeking ways to say,
What there is beyond,
And it's will to stay.
In the light,
Beyond the shadows,
There it lay,
Dead of life.
If we are not hopeful,
The sky will turn gray,
The clouds shall vanish,
And the rain to stay.
We watch and search,
For it is now gone,
A metaphor of us;
The Lonely Shadows.
As for now life goes on,
It will come back.
For when, we don't know.
For those who rest above,
We wish happiness.
For those who burn below,
We wish peace.
For those who continue on around us,
We wish life.
