Imaginary space
They say
I’m a fake,
just a
piece of art
slung on
a postcard
like some
seaside tart.
The say the
human race
can’t see galaxies,
the moon’s
shadowed grace,
and all the
earth’s nations
spinning from space.
They also say
the world is flat
but really it’s too
curved for that.
(If you think
of it as squished
at the poles, it’s
actually an ellipse.)
OK if you look
at me carefully,
I guess you
will see an
imagined eclipse.
But then
you’ll be
picking nits
like all the
Facebook hits
taking advantage
of equality
to challenge
my reality.
Hold the door,
open your heart,
in your damn
science is there
no room for art?
If I wasn’t
really seen
from the
International
Space Station
I should
have been.
Congratulations
to the
unknown arters,
devil take
the `realists’
and carpers.
