Lovers & Fine Wine
(this poem, like me, is a constant work in progress)
1.
Let lovers consume each other like fine wine.
Let them swallow each other,
like fire.
Drowning in the darkest depths,
with little sips,
perched upon our soft wet lips.
With notes of,
cherries and lime,
and fragmented time,
Let lovers consume each other like fine wine.
2.
Yes, let lovers consume each other like fine wine,
but first,
let them nourish the other,
and grow.
Sprouting into little plants,
with rainy leaves,
swaying,
in a cold spring breeze,
Waiting,
for a hand to clasp,
some grapes to sow,
(our inner light to finally show.)
But with luck we’ll get by,
entangled in vines,
Let lovers consume each other like fine wine.
