Musical Inspiration
Think of a song. It can be your favorite, or your least favorite, or just what you hear on the radio. Listen to it, feel its power, and then write a story in response that somehow relates to it. Try not to make it an obvious connection, and try to keep it under 500 words. No poems please, and preferably fiction. Give a link to your selected song at the bottom of your piece, and don’t forget to tag me! Good luck!
Deep in the Meadow
Deep in the meadow, under the willow
A bed of grass, a soft green pillow. (A hole already dug for your perfect small body.)
Lay down your head and close your eyes
And when they open, the sun will rise
"this world is harsh, you shouldn't live in this lifetime" the mother balling as she puts the box in the hole.
"I love you so... so much, this world doesn't deserve you"
Here it's safe, here it's warm
Here the daisies guard you from every harm
Here your dreams are sweet and tomorrow brings them true
Here is the place where I love you
