Purpose
Money won't solve all your woes,
Nor will it make your struggles go,
Despite what many may propose,
Cash can't be a balm for every woe.
Indeed, money can buy you comfort,
And a luxurious lifestyle too,
But take heed, it's not a passport,
To lessen the pains that trouble you.
Your purpose is what matters most,
The reason behind the work you do,
It justifies the effort and cost,
Of the battles that you pursue.
If you care only for wealth and fame,
And not for a noble cause at heart,
You may soon regret the path you came,
When adversity plays its part.
So, let us value purpose more,
And not be snared by the lure of gold,
For it's one thing that will endure,
Long after we're gone and old.
