My Life: Then and Now
Looking back at my life when I just got out of school it's clear to me that I never would have thought I would be where I am today. After high school I was lost, no job, no car, no real friends and no cares at all. My first job was delivering pizzas, in the year I worked there I had saved 75% of the money I made but ended up spending it on fixing my car just so I could go back to work the next day. Then I worked at Taco Bell and yet again saved 75% of the money I had made and got a new car that was almost as crappy as the first. Then I got a job at the Home Depot. two years working there and I am full time making enough to pay the bills and I'm on my way to becoming a manager. I'm not hooked on drugs or alcohol. I'm not a bum who sits on his ass all day playing video games. I spend my free time making wooden coffee tables and chairs. I learned to play the guitar and I'm getting quite good at it.
The other day I had ran into a few people I had went to high school with. We talked for a little while then went along about our day. But after giving what they had told me about what and how they've been doing it became very clear to me that they had not really done anything with there lives. They work at a crap job making half what I make. On there spear time they drink, smoke and party all night. Then they drag them selves to work just to make enough for rent and booze for the weekend. It's little things like that that make me see just how far I have gone in just 4 years.
