"I know how it looks." Tamma said, as new tears formed in her eyes. "Everyone here is trying to get by and stay afloat, even with Cyclo's demands. Then there's my dad and I, living in this gigantic eyesore."
"Tamma, our team prefers to give the benefit of the doubt." Cerissa said reassuringly. "Can you tell us a little more about the story behind this mansion that you call home, even if it is begrudgingly so?"
"Basically, this mansion was built by our great ancestors that also built this town. It has been passed down from generation to generation over the years, currently in our hands. I have suggested selling it to Cyclo to see if that would get him off our backs, or even sell it to the town to put more funds into their hands. But my father insists that it stay in the family only."
"It must be rough." Rick sympathized. "You genuinely want to make things better around here, but the mayor blocks every opportunity that you present."
"Except for us." Essie chimed in happily. "Getting Cyclo out of the picture should hopefully help your people quite a bit."
"For sure." The Pirate added, increasing Tamma's reassurance. "We won't judge you or your father about that place. We will do what you called us here to do, and knock Cyclo out of the picture. Then if you like, we can help you talk to your father about other changes you would like to make around here. Maybe our victory will build the mayor's trust and confidence in other ideas you have, Tamma."
"You guys really are incredible, thank you so much!" Tamma gushed, her tears now much happier as well. "Turn down this street over here, and that will take you right to the hotel."
The party pulled up to the Aplonica Inn, which was a decent sized hotel that didn't look too different from a high end Comfort Inn. A young redheaded woman walked out from the entrance to their car and smiled at her establishment's newest guests.
"You must be the Pirate and his crew that Tamma hired to help us. My name is Dianna, and I am honored to be able to take care of you all!"
