The River
I swim against the current of yesterday
And the burden of disappointments.
Onward to the shores of tomorrow and hope.
The river of desire washes over me,
Her essence fueling my being.
I swim in the current of her passion
Seeking to find the shores of her heart.
I swim in the waters of her ecstasy,
Drowning in her sea of desire.
Consumed by her gentle kiss,
Renewed by the fires she inspired.
I would take her into my arms,
Allow myself to be seduced by her essence
And I offer her not only my seed
But all my tomorrows as well.
I swim in the river of her soul,
Drawn in by the current of her spirit.
Rebirth awaits me.
As I drink of the nectar of her heart,
Feel the depth of her passion.
I would drown in her river of ecstasy
If she had so desired.
But she leads me to a new dawn,
To shores filled of quiet promise
And the memories…
Of her river of desire.
