Random Thought: Truth
Truth is delusional
We conceive
What we want to conceive
And hide behind our beliefs.
Afraid to challenge our hearts and souls.
Then we wonder why life seems so cold.
Truth is delusional
We are often too blind to see
That what we thought was black or white
Was only a subtle shadow of gray
And we will deny the rainbow it's colours
Even as we search for it's end.
We call out to a nameless god
Seeking mercy, love and hope
Then we deny its existence
When it seems, just barely, beyond our reach.
Truth is delusional
Behind every dream lays a tear,
Behind the laughter, a sigh,
What is it that makes it so hard to see
It's not your truth, not my truth
But the dream, the hope that stirs
Somewhere in between.
