A River

A relationship is a river

It can be peaceful and calm

Sometimes it’s destructive

Maybe it’s nurturing

Maybe it’s polluted

Some need it to live

Some can live without it

It can be rushing through places

Or it meanders down stream

It’s sometimes a straight shot

But it may be too curvy to see where it’s going

It can be a curse to some

Or a blessing to others

It can hurt people

And heal just as many

It can be deceitful

Or clear the lies
