Options

I'm asking you to tear my heart out, for I cannot keep living on this way.

But If I become heartless, then what will be the point?

I cannot be another monster, this world already has enough. It needs more hearts, more kind and caring people.

But God, the kind and caring folk are few and always on the brink, one step away from losing all their hope, their light.

So, are these the only options that we have?

To keep on living with no hearts, our souls forever cold and dead..

..or keep our hearts and give into the mad despair, where nothing but the deep dark void remains?
