Four strangers sit across from one
Four strangers sit across from one another in a packed room,
where talking and words pulled
from a written script are expect
to be clearly heard.
It'll stay this way for a while
until they're comfortable
enough to strike up a talk
on their own, but until then
there they sit with each other
throwing and catching glances
yet not one utters a word.
They don't know each other,
obviously...
but a connection exists in the air.
The glances speak volumes of their interest in each other, the thoughts
are such as these, lingering in their heads:
I wonder what stories you carry.
Are your dreams parallel to mine?
What would you say is paramount to you always?

Do you always wear a smile?"
