Parentification

The young boy was always praised

for his maturity and ability to handle responsibility.

He was proud and saw it as a badge of honor and resilience.

As if he was the courageous hero destined to save

everyone from their tragedy.

But truthfully behind the strong, tall hero stood

a scared little boy forced to be a man.
