Hospitalized
Last year, I was hospitalized for pneumonia and the flu combined.
I didn't think that I would be put in the hospital that night, but they said I was barely breathing. In my room I watched the walls for 6 days. Finally, all of my vitals were coming back good and I was tired of eating the wrong food. I never knew how much I missed my shower, my television, my room and most of all my bed and freedom. I told the nurse that I was ready to leave. He told me that they were waiting for a breathing machine to sleep before I could leave. I told him I will be walking out first thing in the morning. Later that night they came into my room and decided to change my room. Now if I have good vitals why are you changing my room. In my mind ...my organs came to mind. Before I let them take my organs, it was time for me to leave. People have changed so badly. Trust someone is priceless now. I said if I left that room , they would see me walk straight out the door.
They let me stay. The next day I was released from the hospital.
I went home and when I approached my room, I remembered saying " hello room, hello bed I'm home".
