I realized then

That it should

Be past tense.

Because now,

He isn't the man

That I love,

He's the man

I loved once,

A long time ago.

The past month

Has been its own

Lifetime.

I'll always care,

But I'm not

Breaking my neck

Falling from

The same cliff

That broke my

Lonely heart.
