technicolor
The smile betrays the bleakness of the face. Jaw set. Eyes fixed on the tiles as I step. A silent click clack echoes through the walls. The throb of blood intense against bulging veins.
Stern expression. Blank and unaware. Some bullshit facade of strength. My gut wrenches. The door creaks. Rusty hinges and dingy lighting. Instincts stiffen the back. Square the shoulders. The familiarity of your arms sliding frantically around me. A sigh of relief. Muscles lose tension. The weight of the shadow lifts and I smile as I breathe you in.
I love you. I love you I do.
I know how fleeting your words can be and so I kiss you. Deep, hungry. for a moment we aren't here and you're still mine and the world is filled with technicolor once more.
