Trying

I'm standing there

trying to be calm

trying to be strong

trying to do perfect

trying not to let it get to me.

I'm lying there

trying to forget

trying to wipe my tears

trying to let my anger go

trying not to live in the past.

I'm sitting here,

and I'm trying so hard,

but I just can't justify

why I feel so bad

about something so small.
