Wild Rose Adventures 2
Wild Rose Adventures 2
The rain continued for two more days. This was unusual but we three were busy and secure inside the house. Gordon and Kitty both busy with their home based businesses.
They seemed to be happy I was messing with the new insta-pot. I have adapted to some of these new fangled gadgets. If my Mum tasted my Navy Beans with smoked pork neck bones she would swear I cooked it for hours and hours after soaking those beans overnight.
Not this modern Aunty. Depending on the hardness of the dry beans, one to two hours cooking time makes the most delightful and flavorful bean soup.
Gordon's brother, Lyndon, came by to return a book and had a bowl of soup. He professed it was pure comfort in a bowl. Kitty thought he was going to invite himself for dinner but he had to get back home to his cat.
I found out no one is living next door, except there must be a caretaker there because the lights go on upstairs, and the curtains in their dining room-kitchen are open then closed. If there is a caretaker we have never seen nor heard them.
To me it is so odd we never see a car in the driveway nor hear any noises. We see the letter carrier delivering mail. If it were piling up I'm sure he would report it.
Clarke never told us there would be a caretaker in the house. He only wanted to inform us Leanne was with her Ex and he, Clarke would be leaving with the two dogs. It was a real weird situation on his part making sure to inform us of his whereabouts stating he would not be here.
Never mind the neighbors I am busy looking at the map to Agua Dulce. Tomorrow Kitty is going to Santa Clarita. She wanted to know if I had any place to explore on my mind. I asked about The Vasquez Rocks located in the Soledad Basin. Kitty had always wanted to visit these amazing rock formations. Kitty said if we had time we would go look and take pictures. She thought Gordon might also be interested. We three could go together and spend the day there at a later date.
Feature films shot at Vasquez Rocks include:
Dante's Peak
Hot Shots! Part Deux
Rustlers' Rhapsody
The Flintstones
Blazing Saddles
Star Trek V: The Final Frontier
Free Enterprise
The television shows include:
Zorro,
The Fugitive,
F Troop,
The A-Team,
MacGyver
and G.L.O.W
Gordon would appreciate seeing this area as he enjoys films and the film industry.
Early the next day we got up early and dresses in cotton slack, shirts and a sweater on the side. We wore comfy shoes and took off for Santa Clarita.
Kitty had a fruit liquid drink of something. I had my coffee, fruit, cereal. Milk and toast with butter.
I also made us a lunch bag of a fresh pear, cucumber and carrot rounds, a hard boiled egg, yogurt cup and flat bread. I also tossed in a small package of Lorna Doone cookies.
I had no clue if there would be a place to stop for lunch. Kitty was always on a diet of some sort. I knew if she saw Aunt Rose stop to eat so would she. We always had water in the car.
Santa Clarita was not far away and her business there went smoothly. We decided to go check out the Vasquez Rocks located in the Soledad Basin. It was both mystical and magical and we will certainly bring Gordon to visit. In fact after seeing the pictures he will want to come to spend the whole day.
Well, I will brag and say Aunty knows best. The lunch came in handy at the picnic table. I always take a small backpack instead of my purse when we are out and about on adventure mode. The lunch came in handy around two PM. The pictures we both took were amazing.
The Vasquez Rocks gift shop had many logo items shirts, hats, pins, magnets. Also a vast array of minerals, rocks, fossils and crystals.
Kitty bought post cards. I purchased a small inexpensive bag of rocks hoping they were local.
We started for home happily remembering dinner was in the refrigerator. We sang all the way home:
Yabba dabba doo!
Flintstones, meet the Flintstones
They're the modern stone age family
From the town of Bedrock
They're a page right out of history
Let's ride with the family down the street
Through the courtesy of Fred's two feet
When you're with the Flintstones
Have a yabba dabba doo time
A dabba doo time
We'll have a gay old time
The Flintstones!
Flintstones, meet the Flintstones
They're the modern stone age family
From the town of Bedrock
They're a page right out of history
Someday, maybe Fred will win the fight
Then the cat will stay out for the night
When you're with the Flintstones
Have a yabba dabba doo time
A dabba doo time
We'll have a gay old time
We'll have a gay old time (yeah)

Bleeding sweat.
The ocean turned over in beats and bass, and the sand moved in the roll of a tongue beneath her stomach and hips, and the rest of the beach gazed at her there while her headphones blasted Modern English and other post punk ’80s bubblegum resurrections. The smell of Coppertone and Pacific had married above her body and pinned my vision on the horizon behind the top of her perfection. I ran my middle finger down her knuckle and she smiled beneath a shroud of wild hair with sweat at the roots.
Back at the house we made it halfway up the stairs before my tongue was up her ass and she was grabbing my hair. Her palms leaned forward and pressed into the carpet while I held her legs off the ground, the grip of my hands on her hips, and I watched her body bounce off our sex while she bucked and came, her hair in her face, her perfections hard at their tips. I arched my back and shot into her and we were frozen there like statues bleeding sweat, my love for her a poem I could never write.
Happiness
A punishment for doing well
Another drink after a nice talk
Another tumble after a nice lay
Forgiveness instead of learning
Happiness, guilty of mediocrity.
Nice wallowing to be had in the well of bliss..
We flee from Sadness like she's a spider,
We Stomp her, leave her behind.
Shut her off.
She only wanted to help.
