My love for you spreads through me like disease.
It's the chill spreading through my veins like ice.
It's the water that fills my lungs as I drown.
It's the weight crushing my chest as I fall asleep.
My love for you rivals that of sun and the stars.
It's the raging inferno that numbs my nerves.
It's the air I breathe and can't let go of as I suffocate.
It's the nothingness under me as I fall harder and harder to the earth.
My love for you is a pain I welcome wholeheartedly.
Because I love you and I can't stop.
Mirrors
I despise you.
It's a hatred that runs deep within my marrow and coats my skin like a poison.
If I had the choice, I would leave you to wither way in the wind, or watch your skin fall off in sloshing water.
And I know you want to do the same to me.
I watch your eyes change as you look my direction, and see them darken with contempt and envy.
And the thought makes me happy.
I smile, knowing I'm on your mind constantly, a pest you can't be rid of.
Unfortunately, my mind isn't pest-free either.
You're an itch I cannot scratch, a whisper I cannot ignore, a light I cannot stifle.
And I watch as that makes you smile that stupid, idiotic grin.
So while we may be mortal enemies,
we still are the one thing that pushes each other forward,
to be better than the other,
we smile knowing we're a plague the other cannot be ride of,
then remember we are plagued ourselves,
because we are happily unhappy together out of anger and spite.
Panic
Suffocating.
I’m underwater. I’m in the clouds. I’m atop mountains.
No one can hear me
as I scream.
The air from my lungs floats away from me in bubbles, and joins fluffy storms as it finds its rest upon snowy peaks.
My body floats in nothingness, suspended, and chilled to the bone.
It’s dark
s o dark.
and wonder if I’ll ever breathe again, and feel air expanding in my lungs.
My heart stops,
it doesn’t beat again,
until I open my eyes, and gasp and choke on oxygen in my throat.
I rest in the earth deep below, as rocks embedded between the dirt, only to be excavated and refined so that I may be worn.
My roots are sewn together with the grass as my stems, petals, and leaves sway in the winds with the small blades.
I am in the sky, but only at dusk or dawn, often woven in with warm colors.
I surround the body of a sweet-tart fruit, my skin often peeled away so the inside may be devoured.
I myself am rare among animals, but I'm not impossible to find.
I can be commonly found in the aurora borealis, along with the cool colors of my family.
My brother is much more popular then I am.
Who am I?
Blue
A damp feeling.
One that settles in your bones, never allowing you the warmth your body desires.
It runs through your veins and turns them icy.
Cold.
So cold you can't breathe.
You can't breathe.
It's like suffocating under tons of pressure, deep beneath the surface of the sea.
Where the sun can't reach you.
Feel you.
But you can see it
as it turns the water blue.
