to my lgbtq+ readers.
i know it's hard,
i've been through it too.
the discrimation?
i've felt it as well.
but keep holding on,
till you can be yourself.
why is the law majority rules
more important than self love?
it's conflicting,
it's tough.
but what difference does it make
if you're a girl that kisses girls?
or maybe a boy that kisses boys?
there's nothing wrong there,
don't listen to them.
you're just experiencing love,
get that through to them.
if you know you're a girl
trapped in a boy's body,
why do people judge?
you're just being yourself.
and what does being nonbinary
mean to them,
when it means the whole world to you?
just be yourself,
i don't care what they say.
it's your life,
live it the way you want to, okay?
be the person you are,
no matter the circumstance;
accepting yourself
is the most important thing of all.
if you approve,
what else could go wrong?
fight against the hate;
just keep on standing.
and if you need help
i'm here for you,
just go on and message me.
i've had experiences too,
and they aren't the best either
and even if we're not the same,
i will love you anyway.
Don’t Squish Your Protagonist
You see the deep ravines to traverse and sheer cliffsides to carefully climb over. You must assess how you are going to carry your heavy bundle home to feed your family. The path is so treahcerous, and in some places, it is impossible. But you must press on before the seasons change, and you're caught in the deep snows and heavy rains. Steeling yourself, you readjust your pack and push onwards into the herculean task.
With deft hands and quick feet, you traverse the wet bog, easily stepping from stone to stone. Your foot slips into the ooze, but you manage to escape a watery grave. You ran frantically across the barren wasteland knowing that at any moment, a giant of impossible proportion could step on you, killing you in a gruesome death. But you are courageous, pushing onwards despite your fear.
The sheer cliff face stands before, warning every adventurer to turn back. But you must make it home on time, so you scramble up the rock, trying not to think of the miles ahead of you. With strength and impossible grace, you manage to climb your way to the very top, but the worst of your trek is just ahead.
You must weave your way through the many obstacles and dead ends that make up this dizzying maze. Shining objects, sharp blades, massive foods, and glorious riches tempt you to turn back, to stay awhile in this beautiful display. But if the giant returns before you make it home, you will surely be killed.
You hitch up your bundle, sweating form the effort of carrying it so far, you hurry and skirm, dodge and duck, jump left and leap right to make it safely home through the terrifying maze. You look off into the distance, and your heart leaps with joy! You have your first sight of home. Running with joy, you rush home to your family, feeling the elation of seeing your loved ones and presenting your beautiful prize to them.
But you weren't cautious enough. You duck under a bright white ledge and spint across the open space to burst through your front door, but you should have looked out for the giant that was hovering menacingly over you. Without hesitation, the giant picks up the glistening white object and brings it smashing down on your head. You never saw it coming. In an instant before you made it home, you were killed in the most gruesome of ways.
"Mom! Why did you kill it?" When was the last time you looked at the world for exactly what it was? When you were a small child, before your innocence was stolen through chaos and unfair advantages, you saw the worls around you for exactly what it was. Your only cognition of the external world was of a huge adventure with so many places to explore. You could take up an entire day with the life of an ant crawling across the floor.
