Semanticality
Wittgenstein replied to Nietzsche, "It's all semantics, my confused friend. What does 'that which does not kill' mean? What does 'us' mean? What does 'stronger' mean? God is in the details. For instance, if 'that which does not kill' means 'nothing' and 'us' means 'everything,' as arguably there is no actual separation or difference whatsoever, and if 'stronger' means 'more developed,' then the answer to your philosophical mystery is 'most certainly' - for everything keeps evolving; the force of evolutionary growth exceeds the force of evolutionary decay. But of course, this is but one of an infinite number of answers to your question, all of which contingent upon the precise definition of each term within your semantic equation." Nietzsche laughed.
When did the news become nothing but a smear campaign for the highest bidder?
Tell us the truth
Unbiased news
I assure You
we Are smart enough
To form our Own opinions
We do not Need yours
Crammed down our throats
force fed
Your lies
Spreading ignorance
To justify your existence
Are you that afraid of truth?
Or perhaps
You have nothing better to do?
Than to destroy
The very thing
You claim to love?
The Lost Little Dress
I hung from the rack
In the dark
Smashed between my brethren who
Were tossed into a civil war
Fighting over who would be worn that day
But, I stayed to the side
And grazed your arms
As you walked by
Hoping you would pick me
But instead you
Forgot about me
You left me in the dust
Lost and forgotten
Until you found me one day
But by then, you had grown too big
And you threw me away into the garbage bin
Fan Friction
This is a topic I'm glad has arisen, as I have strong views regarding it, and the kittens that partake of it.
I have encountered Fan Fiction several times on another site and I've heard arguments both for and against it.
I stand firmly on the side of live and let live as I see no harm in it. As far as I am concerned, an interesting write is a good read whatever the topic, and if people wish to assume roles and write about imaginary worlds with whatever theme they see fit to adopt then that's fine with me.
I see little difference between people playing with toy soldiers and Fan Fiction, with the exception that the latter involves producing written work which is just as engaging to the participants as the former.
I've gone on record before in giving my support of Fan Fiction and I'll do the same here, I say leave those kittens free to play as they wish, they're not causing offence and more power to 'em.
There are far more serious matters open for debate in this chaotic world than this, and a good write is a good read for someone out there.
Now I have to go, Princess Zelda is playing up again so I must quest for the Sacred Tome Of Peace so we can all get some shut eye!
