The Confession
He latched the door of the cab and instructed the cabbie to follow a path that would give him the maximum amount of time with her before he dropped her off.
As close, as almost nothing real they sat, their eyes pulsating how much they loved being together yet unable to express it in the simplest terms possible. The sudden exuberance was no longer sudden, he couldn’t enunciate the spark her ‘zoning out’ created in him, neither would he want anyone else in his life. A dearly attached part of him as what she was now he could no longer keep thing from her.
“I am unbelievingly attracted to you”, he sparkled his way into her heart.
Her eyebrows raised, the zest set in but she wouldn’t show it.
“Okay”, and a dramatic pair of lips unclear of what to articulate, was all that was portrayed.
The charming smile returned on his narcissistic personality and he faced the window, judging her social awkwardness at the most.
He felt her head touch his shoulder and a beautiful warmth exist as soon as she grabbed his left arm, and snug by him. This was countered by his lips that now puckered and lay a kiss on her forehead, as she closed her eyes to embrace it.
Room 63
Room 63, 8th Floor that’s where he was.
A series of footsteps resounded the corridor as they grew closer to that particular room. Suddenly they stopped and a pair of eyes looked upon the crew members that now stood with their heads pointing towards the nitid marbled floor.
She’d forgotten her glasses, spilt the hot coffee on her shirt, and sweat now percolated her perturbed face as if she’d climbed her way up.
“Where is he?” she asked Jim.
“He’s been asked to take rest, we can’t disturb him right now”, Jim said, “He has takentoo many hits this time, I couldn’t see him bleed further”, tears rolled out of his eyes.
“He better be asleep!”, she pushed the room’s door open and granted him with her presence.
He lay there quietly, keeping his eyes closed, matching his breaths to the beeping of the machines that surrounded the bed, the only indications of his heartbeat, his existence.
Out of the thin air her hand was held, firmly gripped by another. She felt his rough palm glaze her wrist, as she struggled to let lose of it. Though his bruised face was a brutal sight, In the blink of an eye she turned towards him and smacked him on his cheek. Then lost control of herself and hugged him as if it were the last time she was going to.
Brooks of tears left her eyes against her will, her boyfriend lay with his eyes closed in a hospital bed. She couldn’t let him fight professional anymore. Enough of his blood has been shed and she could no longer bear to see more of it getting spilt. The word ‘MMA’ grew a potent blaze in her mind now.
Date Night
The persistent driving came to a halt when finally he hit the brakes after noticing that they had reached their destination. He brightened the headlights of the Mustang and drove off the road to the left until the entire night sky was visible through the windscreen.
He got out of the car to open the door for her. The stony bumps on the uneven road had woken her up and she was now in the midst of a confusion, meddled with questions as to what was happening. He opened the door and she stepped out , gaping around.
“Where have you brought me?”, she asked.
“We’re near Prague, but it’s not about what’s around us. Look up!”, he exclaimed.
As soon as she looked up, her gaze stay stuck there like a curious seal. The late night was beautiful with it’s alluring flow of clarity, the pitch-black curtain draped over the sky, and the twisted, warped shapes that the stars made against the blackness. A canopy of luminous stars materialized amongst the ocean of blackness.
He pulled her close and whispered in her ear, “What’s going on in that beautiful mind?”.
She glanced at him, as he reached out to grab a meal basket out of the thin air.
His actions had their effect and she now had a charming smile on her face. Her eyes ensnared into his.
She smirked “You know I could have you filed for kidnapping”.
He couldn’t look way and neither could she stop beguiling him.
“Or perhaps you could have dinner with me”, he smiled preoccupied her mind before any other thoughts sunk in. His charm had found it’s way. “Just the way we planned, about 447 days back!”.
I love you
Music echoed through the deepest tunnels of her ears. She stood at the front of the stage, staring aimlessly at the singer. She never came here for the loud music, infact she hated it. She came to set eyes on her boyfriend, to laugh unnecessarily with her best friend, to be in the arms of the one she loved. But here she stood, alone..until…
She felt hands grasp her waist and a fighter’s breath on her neck.
‘ Didn’t get too late did I ?’ he asked
He was here, and his temptation wouldn’t resist any longer, he swiveled her only to perceive her angelic smile. Then split his lips, and out came the words.
‘I love you’
His eyes
A light reddish shade of sand scraped his back and skies poured their blue into the ocean’s waters. His Armani’s shaded his eyes from the same blisters that now managed to produce a bronzed tan on his perfectly broad chest. He lay on the shore undisturbed, in the nub of a light slumber. Until..
Out of the thin waters she emerged like a mermaid and paced her way to his spot. She was huffing under a heavy load and finally surrendered to these seductive sands. Her hands roamed from his chest to his face while her eyes awaited to capture the first glances of his pupils.
‘Morning hon!’, he exclaimed after his long nap, ‘Shame, I expected to lie here a little longer’.
She looked through his eyes and into the heart, where the words strike hard she spoke
’I know, but I can’t resist waking you, everytime I do, you look at me as if you haven’t seen me in years…makes me feel reborn.'
Her memories
3:20 am
His last message to her, really felt as if it were the last one. In a matter of seconds the messenger tab was no longer visible and in its place opened a picture gallery.
A gallery treasured with the most inestimable memories that ever existed in his life. A gallery that was a cradle of love, one that melted the hearts of the most resilient. It played its part in reembracing these gentlest memories from his eyes that now formed rivulets of tears.
A guardian in love
No son, born to man had the courage to even be seen at a foot distance from the shore but this was no son of man. Such was his anger that the seas roared and the skies trembled when his trenchant eyes set sight on them.
With a robust chest firm against the impregnable winds, and a mind that would penetrate any army and devour the gallantry of any antagonist that plinth in his path,
he stood.
Winds soared and brawny waves smashed against the sturdy rocks. On top of the kernel rock he stood, confronting the sea, angry upon himself and his father, for providing him the heart of a human. He was in love.
In medial of the bleak weather, she promenaded towards him. Suddenly the winds stood still, the seas lay tranquil as if they’d never been disturbed. She called him by his name, and awaited his response.
‘Why me?’ the words paraded through her voice.
A simple question, but words so harsh to him, he couldn’t help but define his love for her.
Thunder shuddered in the clouds and lightning awaited its call as he replied,
‘There are times when I look at you and I still can’t believe you’re real, I’ve broken many hearts on my way here, I’ve been subjected to some tremendous negative emotions but I never chose to step out of the darkness, because I never found a way. Pessimism had almost cast its shadow upon me, before your light dragged me back to reality. I never imagined I'd find someone so perfect one day, but now that I've found the one, she seems to have lost her faith in true love. This treacherous journey has guided me to you, and for the first time I’ve felt my own heartbeat. A heartbeat that I won’t let go a waste.’
She, a light
January 2017, probably the worst time of his life. A phase where he lay subjugated under vindications of: disloyalty, untrustworthiness, traitorous, and failure to allegiance by his Ex. A time where the word ‘cheater’ played a vital role in fuelling the most tormented engines to rove in his head.
In the midst of all this persecution of his state of mind, he saw light. A light that he never wangled before. He followed it, with binds covering his eyes, unaware of his surroundings, his ears shut to the criticizers doing their job and his lips corked to utter the three gusto words ,a relationship couldn’t start without. He was in love, and though it was unexpectedly very soon, he had fallen for this girl pretty damn hard. His highly intellectual mind refused to predict his future without her. His lips wouldn’t smile without setting his eyes on her.
‘What’s kind of feeling is that?’ asked his confused mind.
He smiled, and replied ‘Don't think that I can explain it, What can I say? it's complicated’
The Answer
She ascended the last step to the cliff and fronted him. His back facing her and his vision strained, perusing the acute glares that the sun pitched.
She toed towards him, hoping she’d take him by surprise and suddenly stopped. Her eyes now fixed on a regal view that sent shivers down her on spine. A sight that no other skyscraper or balcony could yield, one that echoed ‘Paradise’ in her world. A sight that could never traverse in her wildest imaginations.
Her ears were percipient to the squally wind, but they caught her name being taken and alerted her. She turned and glanced at his intrepid face.
He gave her a heroic look, and knelt on his right. She was the only one he’d bow to, but this wasn’t a bow…this was something special.
‘Promise, I’ll never let you down’ he said and out of the thin air, brought forth a divine ring that his fingers held.
‘ Would you be my queen?’, he proposed and stared deep into her eyes, hoping to find his answer.
An answer that his future rely on.
One story, One Day, One call
When the harshest winds soared in his path, karma sent her to saunter on the same. Not with him, but against him. She came stride into his path as support, but it wasn’t all that she was meant for. After all fate had another purpose.
She suffused his life inadvertently but settled into his heart even more steadily.
His heart lay in tiny shreds, when she first set eyes on him but as her lips parted, they let out silvery words that mended the bridges. The bridges that lined hope, vehemence and zeal to his soul. All the things that love hesitated to live without.
It hurt to realize that the people he thought he’d love for life didn’t love him as much as he though he did. This was past. But the agony grew even more when the love existed ‘only’ from his side. This was a phase that he’d never lingered in and never did he want to, persisting in it was another story itself. He wouldn’t dare to blame himself, after all he had made his choice, a choice that he’d stay abundant on.
Then a phone call, one that’d never expected this soon. His eyes only craved one name, and there it stood on the home screen. His ears only ached for one voice and now that he’d hear it, a wide smile was appeared on his face. He tapped accept and brought it close to his ear.
‘I can’t imagine living without you’, she spoke ‘ I’m in love with you, I really am’.
Something that left him breathless.
