Fallen
My head aches--no,
It's more that I'm lightheaded,
Tired.
I watched him again today
From out my little window:
He would not have cared
If I had called out to him.
He would have kept walking.
I'm overwhelmed--no,
I'm more bored than anything.
My expectations are too high,
I guess.
He isn't the sweet kid I'd hoped for.
There are too many people around,
Closing in on my little life--no,
I've never been more alone.
