Misunderstood
I am a candle in the light of day
A shadow in the depths of dark
A point where all paths end
The mystery from which all things start
Perspective only portrays my truth
Reflections of whats inside
Emotions evolving in time
Feelings created only by things i hide
Those who are truely close
They who i push away
Thoughts deemed illogical
Through love i leave dismay
I am the lost pieces of a puzzle
The Dissolving footprints in the sand
Sought by few and overlooked by many
Happiness is careless in a far away land
My purpose is a message
A message thats not always clear
Through experience i convey my vision
To those who find their way near.
The Unfinished Poem
A little boy lies in bed so scared of the dark
The shadow of a monster a mere tree in the park
He shivers and cries and hides to no end
Soon the sun comes up it was all just pretend
As simple of a lesson this appears to his life
This lesson is more of an all purpose knife
It appeared once again as 6th grade began
All these big words with no open hand
Wishing he could just sail out to sea
Not knowing these monsters were masking insecurity
Much weaker than him they only did wrong
An everyday battle for him to stay strong
Covered with deep cuts that couldn't be stitched
To just be free is all this boy wished
People are faced with these challenges everyday. Some move forward, others fall victim to the darkness. Be kind, and bring positivity to the world. Life will go in finish your book, finish your poem, finish your sentence.
Unspoken
What a beautiful disaster we live
Psyche unthought and thoughts unspoken
We can only see what is blatant to us
A release from the madness are spirits unbroken
Love is lost without notice to us
So many souls roaming alone
All because of morals instilled by society
To you your soulmate may never be shown
Though through this beloved darkness
A light may sometimes show through
What is rare is powerful to us
Love so real life takes a different view
Many of us have access to this perfection
Others spend life trying to find where
Some of us look endlessly
Not realizing it was already there
Dont ever take this peace for granted
Pushing away what matters most
Sometimes they leave forever
Your heart will hang on post.
