Years Swiftly Pass
The years have swiftly passed,
Anniversaries and birthdays have come and gone,
But the days that linger the longest,
Are the days I spend missing you.
Lasting memories are preserved in my mind,
More picturesque than photos in time.
The voices I still hear are yours and mine,
Whispering we'll always love each other,
Till the end of time.
The Sundays spent just filling in crossword puzzles,
And recapturing those long walks on the beach.
Running off for a weekend getaway,
To just escape the daily hassles of life that way.
Sitting in the garden late at night,
Watching the fireflies glow so bright.
Gazing at the stars as they twinkled at night,
Igniting memories to last through our life.
These are the things I cherish the most,
Just remembering the days we shared.
Building memories to last forever,
To recall at any moment I need you near.
I Wept
I wept last night for the soldiers who have passed,
While protecting us from the evils that harm us.
I wept this morning for the brave lives gone,
While trying to defeat the enemies that abound.
I wept today for the sad and weary,
People I pass on the streets and in parks.
The troubled souls and the saddened looks,
I see as I wander the streets alone.
I wept today for the lonely and distraught,
Who have no place to turn for comfort and warmth,
I pray they find what they're looking for,
To heal the wounds inside their hearts.
I look to the heavens and see all the faces,
Of people who have passed on before me.
I beg protection for our soldiers now fighting,
For our lives to live in peace and freedom.
The tears from my eyes,
Blown by the winds that offend,
Fall to the ground,
Leaving their telltale marks all around.
The world needs to pray to God,
For the protection we need.
Ask forgiveness for the sins,
We have committed.
I pray that peace will blanket the earth,
Overtaking evil and drowning out hatred,
So that we all will embrace the freedom,
Turning the world into a safe place for the living.

How Will I Know?
How will I know when I have all the love you can give?
Will the stars darken, or the sun stop shining?
Will the rivers stop flowing,
Or the grass stop growing?
How will I know when I have all the love you can give?
Will you tell me?
Will I wake up and you'll be gone,
Or will this feeling continue to go on?
Your love means everything to me.
The gentle way you call my name,
And let me know your mine,
Ensures I'll be yours 'til the end of time.
The way you're always there.
Every moment I'm feeling alone.
The sense of belonging to someone,
Who shares my every thought.
How will I know when I have all the love you can give?
Will my heart stop beating, or the moon forget to glow?
Will there be shooting stars lighting up the sky?
Because I'll love you till the day I die.

No Flowers, Please
Send me no flowers,
Cry me no tears,
Just send me your love,
To last the years.
Love everlasting,
Remembering and embracing,
Love speaks all languages
Love has no limitations.
Send me no flowers,
They will only die,
Send me your everlasting love,
Love forever be mine.
Time has no boundaries
Life is too short,
Our stay on this earth,
Depends on our ability to hold on.

When The Clock Struck Midnight
The clock struck midnight,
And for the rest of my life,
I will relive that joyous moment,
You entered my world.
It wasn't your charm,
Or your breathtaking smile,
It was the love in your eyes,
That took me by surprise.
The gentleness in your stare,
Filled the room with light,
Illuminating everything,
As you stood before me.
Overwhelming me with love,
And your gentle touch,
I will always remember,
When the clock struck midnight,
I fell in love.
Awakenings
What awakens my sense of loneliness,
That humbles me so?
Draws me nearer the lost and sorrowful,
Yet brings me closer within myself.
Where is the passageway from loneliness,
To friendliness and happiness?
What will fill the gaps between the sadness,
And finding true contentment?
Many await the awakening from loneliness,
And sorrow, to bridge the gap to happiness.
Strengthen the road to contentment,
Where they can dwell in awakenings of self.

Meadows Bloom
I meander along the meadows edge,
Inhaling the beauty and fragrance that surrounds me.
The meadow glistens in the morning dew,
A field covered in wildflowers and clover.
Wildlife mesmerized by the scent of the flowers,
Inhaling pollen floating through the air.
In the distance the sturdy woods begin to appear,
Broadcast their shield that surround this secret meadow.
As breathtaking as this appears, the meadow houses
Wildlife and harmonic beauty within.
The delicate fragrance caught by the breeze,
Enlightens my senses before dispersed into thin air.
As I walk through the meadow,
Feeling the dampness of dew under my feet.
Wandering freely touching petals and leaves,
And breathing in the scented air.
Looking back over my shoulder,
Glancing at my footprint path in the grass.
Drenched in the morning beauty that adorns me,
Surrounded by the regalia of colors.
Transfixed on the woods surrounding this meadow,
I continue my journey to the trees in the darkness.
The sun has eluded the woods,
Darkness prevails igniting a musty odor.
The woods hold their own secrets,
Dampness keeps the protective moss alive.
Plant life thriving on the open air,
Not diminished by the filtered sun spheres,
Striking the trees from afar.
Lighting a path of sunlight and dew.
Touching solitude, smelling aloneness,
Swaddled in moss and ferns beneath my feet.
I rest, absorb the beauty, again looking back,
At the meadow lit by the sun and fed by dew.
Bewitched by the appearance of solitude,
Senses awakened to spellbound captivation.
