Crickets care!
When I give a speech, or announce my love, I hear them. All the little crickets chirping. They care! When everybody else abandons me, they are there. They giggle when they can hear that chirp. I know what's really going on.
Humans are disgusting, ruthless creatures. Once you get an exoskeleton, you start to care. Crickets know what's it like to be alone. Ready enough for a nuclear attack. When you hear my shame, you cheer with your entire bug soul. As the brain grows, the heart shrinks. Though yours may be primitive, and more like a big sack of all your bodily fluids, you seem to have the biggest heart of all. A heart that can care for anybody, no matter how bad their puns may be.
