The Test
The groundbreaking Meyer test changed the world, but when coming of age includes a test for psychopathy, a young person's fate is decided on their 15th birthday. On the day of her test, Emily Koch's life sends her on a terrifying journey from bookish student to incarcerated criminal.
Shipped to a "Personality Reconfiguring" boarding school and forced to navigate the elite gangs and social hierarchies of psychopaths, Emily can't help but feel like there's been a mistake. The staff is largely absent and the students are left to fend for themselves. At first she thinks she's imagining it, but she senses slight signs of empathy from other students and configures her own methods for deciding who to trust. With the real threat of violence around every corner, Emily rallies a small band of friends, bent on using their differentiated skills to climb to the top of the social ladder and restore order.
The Rush
Caught in a current a thick, expanding sense of physicality overwhelms you. Your fingers begin to pulse, each fingertip suddenly a unique and delicate organ. Your throat tightens, the air humid and cloudy around you. The space between your ears fills with soft, warm tones, a wind chime of longing. Each small exhale sends a shaky wave down your spine. The electricity travels to your sex and rests there.
