Dark Reflection
My frustration bubbles like magma, and I want to let it burn all things in sight. I want to explode like a long-dormant volcano. I want to feel the destruction. I want to be the reason for chaos.
And then I look away, and I remember myself.
I leave the mirror in the ashes, and walk away, happy to say farewell.
Loud
Today, after over a week of general wordlessness, I broke my silence in a burst of joyful and free color.
Don’t worry.
I just wanted to say,
Don’t worry.
She won’t do anything yet.
She’s just gathering information.
Don't worry .
It will all
Be o ver
S o o n .
What egg? Steg! Silt.
Where
have
all
the
ethereal
goats
gone?
Save
the
ethereal
goats!
Seriously,
I
love
them.
For a Moment
White stars gleam in half-light
Falling gracefully to the ground
And for a moment
A magical new world is mine.
The Flower
A single glowing magenta flower stands tall on a stone in the middle of a small lake. Waterfalls surround it, and the sunbeams make droplets seem like daytime stars. Over the water-cliffs golden knights on golden dragons appear, determination in their eyes, before the world turns frozen in cold blue.
The Awakening
Across the land the sparks burn their way, and we rise once again in the greatest awakening of our time.
The Invitation
Just under the water's surface, the light of the ocean-spirit twinkled, beckoning her to adventure.
Eclipse
Slowly, things are turning
Carefully, the world is painted with blackness
Like a premonition, the wind whispers of approaching menace
Just barely, all life feels stuck in time
Can we survive it?
Or will we be victims of the daunting eclipse?
A Mile in My Shoes
Will you walk with me,
Just for a mile or two?
I can show you the stone shaped like a heart
That makes me think of you
I'll take you by the university
Where someday I might learn
Where the ever-expanding bubble of knowledge
Is what I aim to earn
I can show you the way to the florist's
Whose roses and hibiscuses smell so sweet
Or the cafe down the avenue
Where we may grab a bite to eat
And finally we'll go to the park
And we'll sit by the trees
We can watch the passerby
As we sit calm, content, and at ease
