I love to write stories and create art. I work a lot so I don’t always have the time to do what I love but in my free moments I try to do as
Now I’m screaming
obscenities off the roof.
I stand alone
atop the Murchison building.
The city skyline
keeps the night sky bright.
I’m looking for magic
in one constellation,
though I can’t seem to find her.
Maybe I am too early
or too late, rather-
that seems about right.
I find some comfort,
comic relief,
that no one ever sees me
atop the Murchison building.
alone, screaming, never the right moment-
it’s not what I want people to see.
I wanted you to meet me here,
to yell,
burn the world around us,
see me for what I am.
Instead, I howl alone,
cursing the day I saw magic,
felt it myself.
