Morning Gold
I left the night in despair,
only to awake aware,
that the young morning seemed anew.
The amber glow bathed the day,
promising that I may now,
finally,
stand a chance.
Branches frozen still in life,
the earth around it covered white,
steam giving itself to the winter glow.
We wake together each new dawn,
hope perspires from our dreams,
And we face our future as it was always meant to be.
Saturated in the morning gold.
It's been a while.
In Oculi Meae Amoris
Those eyes,
the gleam,
that glimmering gleam;
It seems
to me,
they glow on me from
every direction.
Each pale aqua pool,
rippling in time,
transient between bats of an eyelash.
Pierced,
by the beauty of sight or
any other profound experience,
it leaks out in all directions,
spreading a flame
harboured eternally,
from sun and soul alike;
what more a sublime place,
in Earth sky or star,
could such a penetrable beauty
exist,
than in the eyes of my love
