One Sided Love
his face never leaves my mind
scorched into my
medulla oblongata
until i feel in a frenzy of
wheezing and coughing
as the soliloquy
yearns to climb its way
from my throat and
the asthmatic repercussions seem
as if i am slipping into a dark pool
he will never know the
life we have in my
brain and
the only participants in this
vestige are the concrete
layers of the cocoon i have
built
behind his back
i dream of a world of
narratives to conquer
and with him i am able to
defy
the laws in which my
species exists and
achieve complete and
irrevocable
ignorance.
