Write a Villanelle, My Genius Poets!
The villanelle is a French verse form consisting of five three-line stanzas and a final quatrain, with the first and third lines of the first stanza repeating alternately in the following stanzas. These two refrain lines from the final couplet in the quatrain. Here's what that looks like (letters for rhyme scheme, numbers mean a line repeats):
A1 B A2//A B A1//A B A2//A B A1//A B A1 A2
No theme, no prompt other than make it great.
For examples of villanelles, please enjoy:

Julius Caesar: Alternative History
In honor of the person after whom this month was named, describe an interaction in which Caesar, having avoided assassination on the Ides of March, confronts Brutus, the head of the conspiracy. Caesar's climactic decision must be between clemency or punishment for Brutus and the others. Lastly, make it a huis clos: only the two people, only one location, nobody leaves and nobody enters. Any format is welcome. Regnat populus (you decide the winner, you fabulous weavers of yarns)!

June Gloom (Another Marriage Story)
Since June is inextricably linked to marriage via its name, referring to the angry and bitter Roman goddess of marriage Juno, I would like for you to compose a story about an ailing marriage that should have ended but is still hanging on by a few, frayed threads. Why has this couple not let go? What is keeping them together? What are they feeling? And one last request: make it happen in June.
At least 15 words, no max.
Let democracy rule and choose the winner.

Pretty May
le mai le joli mai en barque sur le Rhin...
G. Apollinaire, Mai
may pretty may in a boat on the Rhine...
G. Apollinaire, May
Looking for poetry, haikus, or any prose that celebrates beauty in the month of May. I would like to hear about regional beauty like the jacarandas in Los Angeles, or about a poignant moment, perhaps at a grave on Memorial Day. What makes May pretty for you?
As I'm all for brevity, please keep it under 500 words.
