Soulmindlessness
We know in our hearts what is right
But walking the middle way
Through the dichotomy of life
Is harder than
coal burned to a diamond
Is harder than
unswerving love
Who watches us
While we pretend to see the light of God
Setting fires to the earth
Devouring the land for
confined feeding grounds
Devouring the land for
highways 'round our garden
We're gonna pave it all
In our soulmindlessness
Entrapping others
Diverting them from life's truths
Whilst calamity after calamity
Engulfs the world
Will we awaken in time
To secure a future for our grandchildren
Or do we burn them too
In our gluttony
In our soulmindlessness
Samsara
life as a spider
has its perks
your home is your castle
with sticky hallways
better than a moat
You can work from home
your dinner is delivered
but it is often lonely
until you have visitors
especially those humaniods
stumbly round your hall
obliterating floors and walls
without a care
If that human
put me in a spider zoo
I might live twenty years
How many times
would he stumble thru
my home then
Eve
Green
garden leaves
first man rising up
after a rain
Walks out his cave
thirsty
rises from the lake
he spots first rabbit
burned flesh
lightening struck
first man reaches down
burns his fingers on rabbit's flesh
instinctively
first man sticks his fingers in his mouth
to cool them
what's this taste
of burned flesh mean
first man eats first rabbit
a chunk sticks in his throat
not an apple at all
Adam panics
as he falls from grace
not temptation but fate
For this, he must blame Eve
Jam
1. the act of blocking human spiritual connections with all sentient life as a result of institutional influences and societal rituals.
e.g. Many school lunches jam our children's innate love for all animals by denying them plant based food options thus continuing their unknowing participation in today's unsustainable food rituals.
