You should go meditate under a waterfall or something.
Write a short fictional piece about a character that overcomes a destructive behavior of some sort. The behavior could be any vice that you could think of. The narrative must include clearly conveyed reasoning as to why the character decided to drop the vice and what they did in order to successfully overcome it. It should be riveting and intense. Try to avoid writing in the first-person point of view. You are encouraged to include the character's "epiphany" as the climax of the piece.
Write about the author with the writing style that you most admire. You can write of the specific stylistic attributes of their prose or poetry that you aspire to emulate on some level. You could also write of the first time you were amazed at their writing and what you were reading that caused you to fall in love with the writer.
