Some Philosophy
Just because you've sunken your boat doesn't mean you can climb in someone else's and drown them, too. You're drowning in the waves, leeching on to driftwood to stay afloat. You can try to attach the pieces together to form a new raft, but the bonds aren't strong enough- so they float off into the waves.
Maybe if when you were on your boat, you could have taken the chance to row to a nearby island. Sure, it would've been difficult to row so far, but if you knew where you'd be now, wouldn't you at least try? Maybe if you wouldn't have been so fucking scared to take the chance, you could have gone to that island and built yourself an airplane to soar among the birds. Sure, it was a long way down, but you could've been closer to the clouds up there.
Instead you're just barely keeping your head among the waves, grabbing onto other people's rafts and tumbling them into the dark ocean waves with you.
Good guys finish first.
I live my life through slivers of time
Moments strung together
With victory and failure
Wins and losses
I watch the broken leaves arch their backs on my window sill
I see my life break apart and fade
Only to grow and bloom again
The tough seasons of drought and loneliness are always a hand on my shoulder
I brush it away and move forward
Never stopping
Through the bitter cold and hot heat
I will never lose this war
I will always win
Always
Win
Stars and Humans
Love.
Is it written in the stars?
Or is it written by us?
Does it make us who we are?
Or does it ruin our lives?
Love.
Is it made through much effort?
Or is it just natural?
Does it hail from a Maker?
Or does it hail from Nature?
Love.
Is it the sweetest of wines?
Or is it the most fowl meat?
Does it make lives intertwine?
Or does it complicate things?
Love.
Is it bought and can be sold?
Or is it something that's earned?
Does it remain when we're old?
Or does it leave with the wind?
