The Velveteen Rabbit
He said, "You become.
It takes a long time. That's why it doesn't happen often to people who
break easily,
or have sharp edges,
or who have to be carefully kept.
Generally, by the time you are Real, most of your hair has been
loved off,
and your eyes drop out
and you get loose in the joints
and very shabby.
But these things don't matter at all,
because once you are Real you can't be ugly,
Except to people who don't understand.
*This isn't my writing, it is from the Novel the Velveteen, however, I was just reading it and this page made me stop by how beautiful it was. I thought everyone needed to hear it :)
Story Idea #1(add on)
So I started to come up with this plot. All I want is for people to see this and add on. I don’t care what. Add characters, write scenes, make a story or surprise twist. I just want to see this come to life.
So a bit of background: Mother Nature(or any goddess/supernatural woman being) created the tribe called the Faes. The Faes are these powerful faires with beautiful wings and powers. They can do anything elemental. Healing, Water Manipulation, Fire manipulation, etc. They are one with music. That’s their thing(think Repunzle almost, and how she sings to activate her power). They can also fly and are agile, excellent fighters, fast runners, etc. A real powerful race. However, you know that there must be a weakness for everything or you have no story. There is this root(not sure what it is called but you can cook it into almost everything. It has a very distinct taste) that grows in the forest that is toxic to the Fae. But, erase that from your mind(for now). So after the goddess died, she spread her power to the Fae, that’s why their abilities are elemental. The Fae ruler/queen(yes it must be a woman), then created the other tribes as a great sacrifice to complete the cycle and wishes of Mother Nature.
The Soarers(this name must stick): Powerful winged people(think Maximum ride vibes). They live in large palaces in the clouds/up high/or in the mountains. Somewhere high and dangerous. They are fighters/athletic people. Their beautiful white wings help them glide through the air and from an early age learn archery, sword fighting, boxing, etc. They are cocky, arrogant though. Think a bit of highschool jock but without the dumb side to them. They are smart, not simple-minded, but egotistical and blindsided. Think Clause from Vampire diaries(expect not cheesy or corny at all).
The Merfolk(I don’t love this name so if you have a better one): They are beautiful women/men who live in the depths of the sea. They are beautiful and elegant. They don’t have to have a tail, and honestly, I would prefer them not to. Maybe they can switch between tail and feet, who knows:)? They are strong women and men leaders. They are beauty queens though. Don’t think the stereotypes. They are strong females who are beautiful, not the trashy or dumb kind. The men are handsome, poised, and beautiful(they are smart as well, like the women, strong, independent). (Think Michelle Obama mixed with Cate Blanchett mixed with a winner of Miss Universe). They are naturally beautiful but know how to dress up. Excellent manners and dinner conversation is expected. Oh, I know! Think Beauxbatons Academy of Magic, that girls school in Harry Potter 4. They will throw an awesome party though. While they can be poised, they know when to smile and act relaxed.
Elves(not sure if I like that name either): They are all about wisdom. Think about the common elf, long blond hair, pointy ears, and knowledge. They are scholars. They live on the land, near the crystal clear lakes and rivers. Their children have had books in their hands since day one. They could be seen as a government in a way, except they don’t rule only advice. They study the Fae, the other tribes, and just about anything they can. Questions are essential to their way of life and have a few tricks up their sleeves:) Don’t underestimate them. The pen can be mightier than the sword. However, they love peace and think war is unethical and foolish, but would protect their people if they needed to fight. They are not violent though. They don’t like to fight but if they absolutely need to, they will. Elves often roll eyes at the Soarers, who criticize their ways of peace and knowledge, as they think fighting is a natural part of life.
The Woodlands(I hate this name, I just could not find anything better). This is the only tribe that was granted power from the Fae. They are even more peaceful than Elves. They live in the forests, jungle, woodland habitats. The Woodlands can heal, not major injuries. They have been able to slow death and bring peace. They get their power from song(think Repunzel)Few can save a life, but it has been done by very powerful woodland creatures/people. In the Woodland live animals and nymphs. Think normal girls. They are not green, yellow, etc. They look like everyone else but wear flowers in their hair, sing to birds, etc. Think Disney princess but with brains, personality, a beautiful smile, and trusting charisma. They are so nice and loving. Everyone is like the Amity from Divergent, expect with a knowing interest in fun getaways and adventures. They aren’t afraid of a challenge or dare but are smart enough and kind/peaceful enough to know when to stop. The boys have rosy cheeks, perfect similes, and the girls have flowy hair and freckles.
Here’s the plot hole: I don’t know what happened, but the Fae died out due to the root. I know that the Soarers had a part in it, but none of the other tribes did anything. If it were to be anyone, it would be maybe anyone expects the woodlands and maybe elves? I am not sure. The other plot whole is that now, after a very long time, a Fae girl has risen and was born(not sure how that happened :) There also needs to be some kind of problem. Why is her return needed? How will she save the day? I came up with another thing. At age 18, the Fae gain their wings and manifest their powers. That is the hardest point. Getting your wings is extreme agony, and Fae has been known to die in the process. That is also when your ability’s come in full force. The main character will have already been powerful, as she will have learned healing and possibly element control but there will be a game-changer, something never is seen or heard of before, once she gets her wings. She grew up growing from tribe to tribe. Her power comes from song and sings every time she has a change(she’s pretty good). Every season she would move, the sping: Woodlands, the summer: Merfolk, the fall: The Soarers, the winter: The elves. She will make it through getting her wings but there can be many problems. Since her power is so important, she can suffer a lot(maybe die and come back, worry everyone, etc). She has a best friend from the Woodlands, someone who is outgoing and positive, and knows many from each tribe. She has especially grown up with prince whatever his name may be, from the Soarers. Think bad boy, athletic, handsome, prince vibes. He does sleep around, most of the time with nymphs, female Soarers, the occasional Merfolk girl, etc. I drew inspiration from Keefe from Keeper Of The Lost Cities but with a bit more ruthlessness. His dad can be a villain in the story. He may have some plans to control all of the tribes and treats his son really poorly. His son, prince (insert name) has a real mean girlfriend who of course treats the Fae girl poorly. And ya, that’s about it, the rest is up to you.
Guess The Song
This song taught me how to break all limits. After seeing it on stage, I would always hold a broomstick to the sky and belt my lungs out. I wish I could hit that note, but alas, only one woman reigns with that crown. Whenever I hear this song, I have to CLOSE MY EYES AND my heart always LEAP(s) out of my chest. All theatre people know it, and it is a classic. So, I leave you with the final clue-Airport Sushi SNL skit Jhon Mulaney. Go to 5 minutes and 33 seconds. Enjoy.
Guess the Song
This song is a childhood story, a tail we all grew up with. With both underwater life and a flowing melody, it's words travel the currents all the way to our hearts. It inspired us to dream big, sing till the fish swam home, and to comb our hair with a fork(It wasn't as easy as it looked). I still sing it till this day, always looking up to the surface and reaching my hand to the air(it is a famous part of the song). What song am I describing?
The Beginning
In the land of Erkron, there has always been a great darkness that has threatened the planet. Each year the threat worsens, with thousands on the run and caulsitys climbing. To fight the darkness, in her last attempt to save human kind, Mother Nature granted her power to a select group of humans tasked with saving the earth. We call them the Sovë, the saviors of the world. Normally, from ages 15-21, teenagers chosen manifest with different ability’s ranging from element manipulation(controlling water, fire, wind, etc.) to telepathy and superhuman strength. Once a Sovë reaches 50, they must find a new child to transfer Mother Nature’s power to.
The choosing process is very extensive and long, and who ever is picked is honored and respescted. It is the highest honor you can have in our society, and very often, the highest payer finds a way for their child to meet a Sovë. They show them off in hope they will be chosen(getting chosen also comes with financial benifits). Sometimes the rich are picked, as they have money to do good and are seen as a well respected public figure. Most Sovë choose out of good heart and courage, but there are some that take a greedy path. They forget that Mother Nature is a force not to be wreckoned with. If a child is chosen out of greed or personal gain, they will not manifest a power and the Sovë is banished. Mother Nature, though she is gone, still controls the manifesting. A child only manifests for a reason, and they must be pure in heart to do so. Fuhtermore, a Sovë’s life is challenging, dangerous, and extreme. Many have died painful deaths, and though a new child gets the magic, it is still a terrible event. Most of the time, 4-6 kids manifest, each around the same age. The remaning Sovë have reached the age of 50, and the choosing is set to take place in the next week. The choosing must happen at the same time for everyone, whether a Sovë is alive or dead. If a Sovë has died halfway through their term, then the remaining Sovë get to choose the child for them, however there are special rules and regulations for the prodcure. The child does not manifest right away, it takes from a day to a week for the powers to show themselves. The stronger the powers, the mighter you are. Mother Nature only grants part of her power, but there is talk of a child that could perhaps take a larger amount of her power(as roumered from the rich and government officials). Mother Nature oversees the choosing, and the child’s intentions, bravery, wisdom, and kindness all effect the process. The Sovë as of right now are listed below with each of their powers and strength levels. With the evil getting stronger, all of humanity is hoping for a good pick that could put an end to the threat once and for all. The current Sovë have been the most powerful so there is fear that the next choosing may result in less powerful Sovë(meaning they may not be able to stop the darkness). The world hopes and waits, it’s life on the line.
Sovë:
Nova Dunkin-(water manipulation agility) (8)
Mark Zech-(wind manipulation, night vision) (8)
Abigail Hopkins-(Super speed, strengths, smarts) (7)
Zoey Dunn- (Invisiblity, heat vision)(8)
Aron Smith-(Fire manipulation, teleknisis) (9)
Jenny lila- (siren song) (whenever she sings, her notes could inflict those who listned to her son) (9)
Scale 1-10(least to most powerful).

“Annabeth” Miss Iowk called from the front of the classroom, making her loose her train of thought. ”Pay attention, you have a test next class”
“oh right, sorry” Annabeth said, jotting down the information on the board. The bell rang five minutes later and she rose from her desk and walked out of the class. “Seth!” Annabeth called from the hall to the blond boy waiting next to her locker. “Anna!” “What’s up?” He smiled and grabbed her backpack as they walked outside to the lunch tables. “I got yelled at during 3rd period for daydreaming“ she laughed, opening the door for them both. “Ugh Miss Iowk is the worst“ he grumbled, ducking through the opening. “Are you nervous for the choosing?”Seth asked, looking over at her. “I don’t know“ she replied, “It would be amazing to get chosen but I don’t know. I have Jacob to take care of and my dad is out most nights at the bar. He doesn’t come home much anymore. I won’t let him in when he does either, he just wants money for more drinks or drugs” Annabeth mumbled. “Besides, I can’t get caught up in fantasy’s like the Choosing when Jacob goes to bed hungry” she said, her eyes getting misty.
“I’m sorry” He said, “If you got chosen though, your family would be rewarded and honored, so money wouldn‘t be a problem anymore. But we both know your a big spender sooo” Seth started and Annabteh wacked him with her hand laughing. “Shut up, plus, getting chosen is more then money or fame sir. It is about saving the world” she said. “I wonder what power I would have I got chosen“ he asked. ”Well, we’ll just have to wait and see” she said smiling. Getting chosen was her dream, not that he needed to know. The whole school was buzzing about the choosing, and the entire world was freaking out as well. Out of everyone, she wasn’t special. She wasn‘t amazing. She was ordinary. Why would she ever get picked? What was unique about little 17 year old Annabeth? “Hey, everything okay?” Seth asked, seeing her smile fade. She looked up at him, her grin returning. “Yep, never better.”

Lovely Colors
In my world, we are at firstborn in black and white. Everything is one of the two colors up until we meet our soulmate. You have to have physical contact, but even if you simply brush fingertips it counts. The moment you touch, everything bursts into color. This is the story of the day I met my soulmate.
Chapter 1
Good morning summer camp
I stretched out in bed, yawning and freezing, my blankets on the floor. I rolled over and groaned. My first day of summer camp was today. I slowly crawled out of bed, my feet touching the cool floor. I walked to the bathroom where I began getting ready. Putting the toothpaste on the toothbrush, I looked into the mirror. My hair was a bit of a mess, and my eyes were hazy from the morning. Of course, I had no idea what color they were, but I would like to think I had brown hair and eyes that were blue or green. I couldn’t really tell. People had told me I pretty, but I wasn’t sure if I believed them. After all, all they saw was the black and white version of me.
I finished brushing my teeth and I scrubbed my face with soap and water. I took out my lipgloss, mascara, and other beauty products and applied them slowly. I took a step back and looked at the finished product. This could work. Opening my cabinet drawer, I took out my hairbrush and worked vigorously until my dreadlocks looked more like hair. I even curled the ends to add a special touch.
I went back into my room and opened my closet doors. I had already packed, so most of my cute clothes and bathing suits were locked away in my suitcase. I settled on a romper that went down to about the middle of my thighs. Not to short but not to long. That way I wouldn’t look like a grandma, but I could still jump around without flashing my bunkmates. It had little flowers drawn all over it. I pulled white vans out of my closet, the only color they made and put them on. I was officially ready to go. I went back into the bathroom and picked up my toothbrush and beauty products. I crammed them into my suitcase and carried it down the stairs.
My mom was busy finishing breakfast, shoving eggs and toast into a napkin for me to eat on the way over to camp. I smiled, I couldn’t imagine mornings without her. I walked outside and put my suitcase in the car and my mom came rushing outside. “ Well don’t you look pretty,” she said handing me my breakfast napkin and a fork. “Thanks, mom”, I replied, kissing her on the cheek and jumping in the front seat. It has always been me and my mom. People rarely ever find their soulmate, so most of the time, people just settle for what they can have. My dad left when he found out my mom was going to have me. We haven't seen him since. The whole soulmate thing often ruins relationships because people think, if your not my soulmate, how will we ever work? Of course, there are happy couples who love each other no matter what. For the majority of us though, we don’t find true love, just temporary love.
My mom hopped into the driver's seat. “First day of summer camp, here we come!“ She said, pulling away from the driveway. I smiled. Here we come.

A late Halloween story
“Lexi! Jesus’s chrsit!!” I banged on her bedroom door again. “Lexi, we’re gonna be late!!” I screamed. Typical of my 17 year old slut of a sister. Ok I don’t mean like slu-slut(I’m not even supposd to say the word), but she has slutty tendencies, via her booty shorts, push up bras, lipstick, and crop tops. She was probably taking half naked photos by her mirror. I banged on her door again and it popped open. “Lexi?!” I asked, opening her door slowly. No one was inside. “The hell...?” I muttered, looking around. The room was empty. I turned around and headed down the stairs when I heard her voice behind me. I turned around and saw her starring at me, painting, eyes blood shot. “Lexi...?” I asked, a pit forming at my stomach. She screamed bloody murder and backed towards her bedroom window. “Lexi?!! It’s okay it’s just me!” I yelled, running towards her. I stumbled when something hit me from behind in the head. Blood dripped down my face and as my eyes focused she was gone. The room was dark and I looked around, taking raspy breaths, tears running down my face. A figure stood in the dorway. I could not see it face, but it held my sisters head in it’s hand. Oh My God. I didn’t even feel it. I didn’t feel what it did to me, all I saw here it’s eyes. Eyes that reminded me of my mother. My mother that had died 4 years ago.
