Fighting a lack of ambition by going through the motions, over and over, until maybe the engine kickstarts. Or dies, either way.
This post is so girl
Prosers! I have been doing some self reflection lately in quarantine and I would like to suggest what is (hopefully) a fun Challenge.
I would like each of us to choose at least two posts from our favorite Prosers - one post which we will label "girl" and the other which we will label "boy"
*Yes, I am aware gender as a binary concept has flaws - bear with me, folks
Then I would like a description of why we think the author sounds more like a "boy" with one post and more like a "girl" with the other post - even if the author's gender is known. You must choose two posts for each author and assign them no matter what!

Classics Re-imagined
Re-imagine a classic work of fiction as something slightly different, but following the same vein / story. You can either note the classic work you're referencing in the post or leave it up for guesses. I'll post an example of my own. I'll try my best to read all entries / if you want to make sure I don't miss yours feel free to tag me. Have fun

The New Age of Chivalry
Reading the news today, it was pointed out that 60% of all current COVID-19 deaths are men. This dark fact inspired me to create this challenge.
Write a poem, a sonnet or a love letter from one of two perspectives: 1) as a lady, defending her delicate Y-chromosome flower from disease or 2) as a gentleman, fawning over his rock of an earthly goddess as she shields him from plague.
Whichever way you choose, twist the old paradigms on their head and enjoy taking up a reverse romantic role. If the age of bodice-rippers has ended, perhaps the age of trouser-tuggers (or your suggestions?) has begun.

The "Ukiah"
The traditional Haiku is written standard 5 - 7 - 5 syllables, but what if your dyscalculia led you to accidentally mix that up and write 7 - 5- 7 syllables instead?
"Haiku" backwards turns out to be "Ukiah" - a Native American term meaning "deep valley".
Share your own "deep valley" of inspiration, thoughts or wisdom. There are never any losers, only those who miss out on fun challenges!
"Writers are...
Finish the sentence - 15 words, you can either include the first two words or simply fill in the rest. No winners, losers, or consolation prizes just enter, read, and share.
