Say Something Honest
I have a secret tendency to steal my family member’s socks and once I’ve worn holes in them, return them like they were never gone in the first place.
“I’ve heard there are troubles or more than one kind. Some come from ahead and some from behind. But I’ve bought a big bat, I’m all ready, you see, now all my troubles will have trouble with me.”
My favourite Christmas holiday song is the Fairytale Of New York by The Pogues featuring Kirsty McColl.
Frosty, cold sheets of ice lie upon the ground, it wait of it’s next victim. Powdered snow sits on the tree tops, relishing in the winter feel. Crystal-like snowflakes fall from the clear blue sky, every one unique. Snowmen sit in gardens, wrapped up in their scarves and hats.
I think fear is:
• The Inevitable.
• The Path That Has Been Set In Stone.
Opinions on Halloween.
Witches, werewolves and pumpkins, that's what Halloween is about for most people. Not the fact that the barrier between the mortal world and the immortal realm is at it's weakest. Or that it has a surprisingly high rate of crime for just one night.
For me, Halloween is a time for eating shit, earning tons of calories that will probably take ages to burn off knowing my lack of exercise, and watching horror movies. Now, I'm not going to lie, some movies can scare the shit out of me. But that's what makes it fun. While in most novels I do enjoy the cliché 'girl hugs boy during horror movie because she's a wimp' I do find it rather boring sometimes. To me, Halloween is about scaring either yourself or others; as long as someone gets a fright.
What's your take on Halloween?
