Hi, I am Brittany James. I am a web developer, a writer, and a mother. I grew up in many places in which we didn't have television and we vi
Another Memoir?
I am writing a memoir, even though I know there are a ton and my story isn't the most tragic or biggest rags to riches. I need to write it. My audience, for now, is my family.
Will you help me decide on the main story to tell?
1. Telling the story of becoming a mother myself and how watching my own mother wade through trials, while still holding on to her faith in God, has strengthened me. (talking about the conflict of wanting to/having to work and being with children)
2. Coming to terms with my father and some of his unfortunate mistakes that, while they were difficult at the time, have proven to shape who I am. (like moving our family over 20 times before I was 20 - one year we moved 3 time in 3 different states and lived in a tiny mobile home with 5 children on $20,000 a year)
3. How getting to know my great grandma, and some of the trials she went through has strengthened me. (She went from being a cotton picker and living with no electricity to getting 2 degrees)

Rant on Writing

Have you ever felt that you can't ever write because of all the things pulling you in different directions? Here is a safe space to rant about it. Feel free to use as much description and as many obscure words as you desire.

Thoughts on space
What if your eye could penetrate the vast expanse of heaven? What if it could see into the darkest parts of the sky? Do you think that void of space is empty and cold, fatal to any found alone? Or is it filled with light, as Lewis portrayed: a space full of life and godly influence?
