Reaper’s 5 Star, Star Wars List
Not necessarily in order but close (spoilers if that's necessary?)
1st Darth Vader. Listen when the final boss walks into the room there should be one of two things going through people's heads. 1.” we’re totally screwed.” or 2. “I sure hope we brought enough friends, potions, weapons and ammo because this is about to be one heck of a fight!” Darth Vader certainly fits the bill. When he shows up its best to run. Fighting him leads to casualties and severed limbs. And such an iconic villain! The cape, the mask, the breathing, the red saber, and of course the music! That’s not the empire's theme that’s Darth Vader's theme! Modern day villains are not bad but they’d do well not to choke on their ambition. Gotta give credit to a true OG!
2nd Obi Wan Kenob. Let's face it Obi Wan is the wise mentor. You don’t need to be a Star Wars fan to know the name Obi Wan. All the great sensei’s takes notes from him. The advice bubble in the hero's time of need, The wise cryptic words, the waving of hands etc. Plus, all the great quotes, “These are not the droids you're looking for”, “Use the force”, or Reaper's favorite, “Strike me down and I’ll become more powerful than you could possibly imagine.” Yep all Obi Wan! He also trained two of the most power characters in the Star Wars universe, and he defeated Aniken in the greatest lightsaber duel of all time!
3rd. R2 D2 Because come on its not Star Wars without R2. That’s why they always give him a reason to be part of the story. His beeps and boops and are iconic and anyone who spends more than 5 min with R2 can easily tell droids do in fact have personality and free will. Also, everyone loves the R2 robo scream. You know the one!
4th Yoda Because he’s great. Seriously who doesn't like Yoda’s unique way of speaking? Hes calm cool and collected while also being fun and quirky. He’s usually good for some words of wisdom and can throw down if the situation arises.
5th Mace Windu. He became one of Reapers favorites after learning more about his back story. He is seriously a very unique character with a lot of dept. There's really not to much more Reaper can say without swan diving into his back story. So if you haven't done that just except the fact that he’s awesome.
Reaper knows he’s cheating at this point but must do the honorable mentions of Ahsoka, Anakin (not vader) Chewbaka, Cad Bane, Luke, and Mando.
A long time ago...
Such a difficult challenge. Even bypassing the principal characters, there are too many candidates: Salacious B. Crumb, Wedge, Sabine Wren, K-2SO, Malakili (big guy with a big heart).
But if you held a blaster to my head and made me choose, I would opt for the Millenium Falcon. Coolest vehicle in cinematic history, but not technically a character.
So if I’m going to break the rules and put forward a non-character, I’m going to take inspiration from D_Reaper and Uschibear and vote for the sound of Star Wars. Adding to their comments about Artoo’s robo scream and John Williams’ score, I present:
I can no longer hear the 20th Century Fox fanfare without feeling my excitement building.
The silence of ‘A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…’ before the Star Wars title thunders onto the screen to the rousing der der, duh-duh-duh der der, duh-duh-duh der der, duh-duh-duh der.
The electric buzz of a lightsabre coming to life; and the sharp crackle as it defends a Sith’s sweeping thrust.
The Mos Eisley cantina music. (Did you hear it in Paul?)
The animalistic scream of a TIE fighter flying past.
‘Utini!’
R2D2 – just about everything the beloved little droid utters. (But I have heard he is the most foul-mouthed character ever, hence every word is bleeped out.)
And finally, the most heartrending sound I have ever heard:
As Han is lowered into the carbon-freezing chamber on Bespin Cloud City, the anguished cry Chewbecca releases. Breaks my heart.
Rebels Star Wars
My favorite Star Wars characters are pretty much all rebels.
Princess Leila is one of my favorites. Being a strong female and taking no one's crap. This is why I was drawn to her from the beginning. Well that and she falls for the rebel.
Then there is Han Solo, also a rebel. He does his own thing. He was one of the first movie guys I had a crush on. Who would not like the guy who flys the Millennium Falcon.
My third favorite is newer. Grogu is so cute and also does what he wants. He also has power and that is awesome. Hope to see more of him in the Mandalorian when it returns.
Other favorites are: Boba Fett, Yoda, Obi Wan Kenobi & Chief Chirpa.
