A Quest for the best

This 'ole lonely road that we travel from day to day. Enduring nights after nights. Searching and seeking for some type of relief from the troubles that we seem to carry around within us. Deep within the shattered existence of our broken souls. These trouble. They try to break us and they try to blind us. They try to keep us from "keeping hope alive". It is this hope that one day, one day real soon my friend that we shall be rescued from all of this.

The Line is Drawn

6th Avenue Heartache

There is a commonality expressed here. I read the lyrics through before I realized who the song writer was, and heard the echoes of Dylan, then found out his son wrote the song. This might refer to his career in music and how he is painted by the same line as his father, and drawn into the madness of making a musical comment on society.

He tackles homelessness and the idea that we're all the same underneath. Human, And when we disappear, so little is left behind that we might never have been here. We all suffer from loneliness, want love and safety. The Wallflowers have some powerful albums, and I've only heard one or two of their songs. I'm thinking I'll get them cued up on my Spotify and listen to more of their work.

Thanks for turning me onto a great song and a great group. The song is a haunting statement on an oft forgotten segment of society.
