*introspected* just as expected
I choose...
The Big Emotions
I choose...
To be ignored, hated even,
rather than adored
And, no, I don't really
mean it... It is so
that I might
Suffer
it all
the more
Exquisite!
When shut up,
And Blocked,
put out from
the catacombs
where everyone
else seems
safely anchored
to the shore
I choose...
The Empty
so that I
myself
may carry
The Universal
Burden
of matching
the Socks
that endlessly
go missiling
I choose...
The welts upon
the chest and thighs
that signify
affection as
Metaphysical
I choose...
The Big Emotions
Because I must
be arrogant and proud
to know the shame
of the inadequate
in the sermons
recited during sleep
I choose...
The Big Emotions
Because the
moment
will come
that I will be called
to stand for Collection
And the One
True Testament
will put a razor
through me
and squeeze
the final drop..!
of my precipitation.
And I want to say
I gave my
everything
as I expire,
into that breadth
With no human
Feeling left.

Simplicity or Complexity? challenge @akitoyu
Simplicity, or Complexity?
Jane screamed into the pillow. She felt as if her heart was going to burst into a million pieces. Her phone pinged. She tried to shut her eyes, and think of someway to get back at the one who had stabbed her in the back.
Her eyes opened after what seemed like only a few seconds. The message popped up on the screen..."Hey..we just wanted to check in on you. We would like you to let us know what you think of your next project. Please meet with the giants as soon as possible at the designated meeting point. We will prepare the chariot of fire for you to use to meet them."
She did not want to work on another mundane project. Meeting with a group of smartly dressed giants, who wanted to expand their territories to other kingdoms. All she wanted was to end up being back in the castle walls. She had enjoyed being treated well by the servants, and other magical creatures instructed to take care of the King's guest.
But then after spending almost every waking moment by his side, reality had struck, and the King had informed her that her job with helping fix the castle walls, or her current contract was almost over. She felt like bursting into tears, and even almost ripping his heart from his chest. But if she did that...her boss would end up making her regret such a way to complete her work for the King.
She turned to her side, and hugged her pillow. Teardrops streamed down her face, and along the bridge of her nose- then onto her chin. She screamed again. This time her voice almost fractured the mirror that she received from the elves after she helped them plant more Jacaranda trees. The elves had told her that whatever she wanted, some said could be granted if she believed, and asked the one that was trapped in the mirror.
Her eyes darted across the room. She stopped, and stared at the mirror.
She got out of her queen sized golden phoenix bird, and tiptoed toward the mirror.
A wave of light burst forth from the mirror the moment she glanced into it. Her body was transported from her bedroom into the glass like world/universe.
She called out, "Hello...is anybody.. home?" A cloaked figure appeared before her. It gave her a tight squeeze, and said, "Just thought you needed a bear hug. Also, feel free to let me know what it is that you need."
She blinked. "Uhh, who are you supposed to be?"
"Your spirit guide...*laughs* I am kidding. I'm a powerful being that grants wishes."
"I do not need a genie!"
"Girl, please. I'm much more powerful than a genie. All you have to do is sign here, and here...then your soul..I mean your wish will be trapped...eh granted."
Jane raised her eyebrow, and wondered if she should believe what this being had to say. Why was she trapped in the mirror anyway?
She shrugged her shoulders, and grabbed the peacock feather pen. It burst into flames once she had signed the contract.
The powerful being laughed at Jane, and shot off into the air like a firework. "I do hope you enjoy your stay here, my dear."
Jane tried to move, but her feet were stuck. It was as if someone had glued them to the ground.
Back in Jane's bedroom, someone was busy getting ready for the day. They made their bed, enjoyed a bowl of assorted bugs, and then hopped into a chariot of fire.
The group of giants were all seated at King Arthur's round table. They smiled, and greeted the King. Then excused themselves.
They did not want to miss their meeting with the project lady. Once they were at their next meeting location, they greeted the young female.
She smiled and beamed with pride.
"Hello there. My name is Jane, and I look forward to working with you."
Little did they know that that was not her, and the powerful being chuckled. She could not wait to meet the elves, and see how they were doing. They would regret trapping her in that cage, or mirror.
Those elves had to pay for what they did. She would have to make sure to get some work done first, and make sure to do a good job at least on Jane's behalf.
Hopefully she would find her own way to escape from the mirror, but her body might not be still around when that happened. Although it was a strong body, the powerful being needed to find another one that had magick flowing through its veins.
