The conqueror of the rivers.
In this year I decided to go ahead with one of my smaller ideas to make me a happier individual: I'm going to buy a kayak and trek several rivers during the summer.
Back home, I had done a few canoe trips on very small rivers and loved going to partake in white water rafting. This time, I'm taking the team element out of it by going solo. I'm going to see what nature can tell me, when it's just me, fully engaged in the atmosphere. It's easy to lose that focus, when there's a slew of folks you may or may not know. During this year, I've hiked around, climbed a little, and once it warms up some more, I'm getting myself in the 'yak, and I'm not looking back.
I've looked forward to doing this for a long time, so my excitement level is tremendous, I anticipate I may not see what I think I will, or learn what I hope, but any day that I can course through natures veins, I feel there's a chance that maybe I will.
