Any and all two-party systems need to diversify. Fast.
Every government should allow its citizens to fire and replace every single elected official every 6 months. The accountability fire needs to get turned way the fuck up.
Every government should allot a portion of its tax budget toward paying citizens to run for offices. There shouldn't no more than a dozen Presidential candidates. There should be hundreds, and debates every night.
Credit Reports and Piggy Banks
What needs to change? My financial situation, that's what. I need a job. I quit my job for school, so I could get a better job. Now I need a job because I quit mine. I do have some change. I keep my change in a jar. Maybe that's why I'm trapped. If I take the lid off of my change jar, maybe change wouldn't feel so urgent.
It's easier to explore the galaxy, surf cyber space, microwave a bowl of ramen, pet my dog. Sleep.
The Balancing Act
I need to change.
The balance between acceptance and change.
But I don't need to change.
Bad habits (God, so many!) need changing.
But my personality, who I am at my core, should always be accepted, most importantly by me.
I should accept myself as I am in order to change.
Such a seeming paradox!
I am a bundle of contradictions.
So be it.
That needs accepting.
My self-sabotaging behaviors need changing, by changing my disastrously confused and easily malleable thoughts.
God help us.
O Lord, have mercy on my brain.
Change me by changing my mind.
I pray.
So Many Things.
And also nothing, all at once. With change comes another issue, every problem solved will lead to another, for the world will always be in balance. World peace is an illusion that drives us forward to improvement, but there will always be problems we have yet to solve. I think that needs to change.
