It’s Not Wet Bread!

Homemade chicken and dumplings is the greatest comfort food after my sister's macaroni and cheese.  Its warmth and savory taste brings a feeling of bliss and peace.  It is almost as freeing as chocolate ice cream with hot fudge all over it (and nuts, do not forget the nuts!) 

Oh, I got off track for a moment.  

Chicken and dumplings...the kind made from scratch and NOT with noodles.  

Ugh!  I prefer REAL dumplings.  Some have said it's just wet bread, but I say if it has noodles in it, then it is chicken noodle soup!  

I actually had a boyfriend once that commented the aforementioned wet bread thing and I was foolish enough to make my chicken and dumplings for him with noodles.  

(By the way, I make excellent chicken and dumplings.)  I felt like a traitor to all chicken and dumplings lovers everywhere and I have not made it that way since!  

By the way...I am not with that silly boyfriend with no taste...Wet bread?  The nerve!
