I was never one

Of the pack.

I was a lone

Wolf keeping track

With a herd

Of elephants

I was never very good

At joining the sycophants

Myopic banality

They never see past

The cult of personality

In their common repast

Healthy cynicism

Use some

Healthy criticism

Wherever I roam

sitting in a bar where i don't belong—

the drinks are weak, the well whiskey is Makers, and the patrons seem genetically superior.

instead of mingling,

i'm observing.

this menagerie of wealth—

packs of networking know-it-all alpha males

and medically-enhanced, contoured females ready for rut

all flinging shit.

I jumped, climbed and enjoyed the feast of juicy fruits on trees. But one day saw a caterpillar changing its stages, I kept  watching it for many days till it got wings and flew away.

I got surprised and planned to change. As, built a cucoon I too tied some leaves and went to stay in a cave. Day by day I changed me and became a handsome man.
