While I do not want to see an influx of these challenges asking why I am following a specific individual, I understand the curiosity and the brain-storm of wondering. Another_Proser said she posted the challenge because of a social behavior study, and I assume you're posting it for personal knowledge; that said, every voice matters.
I only follow people whose writing is enjoyable for me to read, or thought provoking. Your writing falls in both categories and in short, that is why I follow you.
Additionally, I try to follow those who engage others on Prose. because I believe that is the strength of this community. You engaged others, and that is another reason I follow you.
My only criticism (brutal honesty here) is being tagged in what seems like every piece you publish. I simply do not have time to read every work of every person I follow. I enjoy being tagged on posts about dreams, politics, thought-experiments, positivity, and so on... so, I am not discouraging the tagging practice, but would ask it be more selective to:
A) something you want my specific input on
or
B) something you believe I will be interested to read specifically
and with a limited number of 1 or 2 tags a week.
(I just don't have that much extra time to read and comment)
I am grateful not to be poked on posts I didn't get to, even after being tagged, and more grateful for your open mindedness.
Of your posts, I might enjoy the love posts the most, because they aren't the overly romanticized version of love, but the gritty real love that also includes pain, spun in ways that never leave me feeling depressed after reading, but rather content or enlightened.
So, thank you for prosing, and keep being you!
Cheers,
M.E.
