Have we met?
Your face is a fragment of my broken glass memory.
I have misplaced pieces of places
& peoples faces.
I cannot put my mirror back together.
Do I know you?
Words you may have said are now a mixed up mess.
Everything is a backward reflection of who I used to be and who I knew.
Who are you?
We have never met.
I don't know you.You've got a face I'd never forget.
Breathe in, breathe out.
Breathe in with the monsters who watch you constantly
Beeping in red
With machinery eyes.
Breathe out with the doctors
Who have warped voices
That travel in and out of your memory
Asking you how you feel.
Breathe, count to ten.
Speak, try to talk, try to tell them what you want.
Just try to.
Why talk when you want to run?
Remember to breathe
Inhale, exhale,
Waiting for the euphoria to wash over you again and steal your oxygen.
Breathe in.
